Incredibly aggravating to navigate this one correctly and get the jumps right so that you're at the right height to fit in some of the small places. I like a challenge now and then, so I don't hate the track, but I don't like it enough to give it an award.

Fun, quick, and difficult to do very well on. As usual, KOTR's tracks are of the finest quality.

Yeah, I don't get why you say to ignore the scenery since there really isn't any... but regardless, this is a high quality track. It just hurts my eyes though.

Short and quick, with a couple unique ideas (missiles at the beginning and the first turn, which keeps you from cutting too close) but at the same time it's not incredibly remarkable. Not to say it isn't fun though.

Balls To This[1-1666]
Comment:
This track is huge. The work that must have gone into designing and making it is, to say the least, a lot. I seem to remember the original idea for it came up about a year or two before the track was actually finished.
Even though I haven't actually played the sport (I was a ball), it looks to be a ton of fun, although it can be a bit slow at times. Patience is required.
The original ideas of each of the holes, I think, is genius. Nice work Austin, you prove time and time again that you're one of the best track designers this game has ever seen.

Comment:
This track is good in places, but unfortunately is a bit lacking.
- The walls are all the same; no variety (sans the fuel zone)
- The fuel zone is very slow and there's only one; if you run out of fuel on the track, you're kinda screwed
- The speedzone placement isn't good; it dead-ends into a wall that's hard to use to go the right way.
I also felt that it was a bit too square... barely any curves in this track, all 90 degree corners, which can get old kinda quickly.

It's not possible to navigate this track properly. If you get a good lap, it's because of luck, not skill. A little short too.

This is a tough track, but I enjoyed it. There are different routes, though only one route provides good times (as far as I know). I can think of one jump where you have to stop and start. My only complaint is that it can be a little small in some places.

A good track, I like it. Tough to choose where to hit walls and where to not hit walls. Might be suitable for large races, but at the same time, it might not.

I like the idea; I really do.
The design of the map (as far as sticky walls, architecture, track width, and navigability) is great. No problems getting around.
However, I wasn't able to test it with other people. I think it might either be a great game or a really fast and kinda boring one. With the cans at each base, it could be trivially easy to smash defenders out of the way and get to the base. Or, it could be hard. Can't really tell.
The mines in the winning box are probably a little more than unnecessary. They were pretty annoying when I fell into it (mines make noise and a lot of it too).
Overall a great idea and I'd like to play at this track sometime.

Hehehe, I like it.
A neat idea; this could be a lot of fun with several racers, especially since there are a lot of different ways to go and paths intersect. It might make a good track to race with missiles too, to keep your opponents from getting to pillars.

I wasn't able to finish a lap - I must have missed a checkpoint or something. The ice itself was somewhat hard, but if you really wanted, you could space those out a lot further and make people smash their keyboards. See Mount Everest, that's what I mean. Interesting idea though.

It's listed as "Special" - I should have looked at that.
I think this would be kinda small for a war arena. With the walls being so close in, it can make for some very tough times dodging missiles and I'm pretty sure a lot of people would get frustrated.
I like the layout of it, and the general idea of a war arena that isn't a simple box but instead a cool complex shape, but for my tastes it's much too small.

There are a couple parts where it just doesn't 'feel natural', if you know what I mean. Other than that, it's cool because it was made in Notepad. Some good record races happen here too.

This is one of the better tracks out there. Short, simple, fast. Very tough to get really good laps on though. Great for record races because laps are quick.
I'm surprised nobody else has commented on this one yet, I guess nobody's though about it.

It was pretty confusing for me. I guess the idea is to get from one end to the other and back, which could make for some interesting races, but it's a very very tight track in places.
One cool thing I saw was a wall of blue columns that you had to collapse to jump over. A neat obstacle.
As for the target practice, well, I really don't think that's a good way to get good at dodging missiles. : )
Great to see new tracks.

Comment:
I like this track, and it's a great time trial track, but there are a couple problems (though they might not actually be problems).
There are a couple prevalent strategies involving cornering. One involves bouncing off walls, one involves turning tightly. When two people race using these different strategies bad things can happen - collisions that ruine laps, etc. But that can make it kind of interesting too.
Also, there are a couple of jumps you can make to get fuel, like around the last corner. If you jump off that, you get fuel. This also creates the possibility of collisions, which could ruine an entire lap. But if you like things dangerous, then that makes it all the more fun.

Austin makes some really cool sports tracks. A cool suggestion - spectators could sit on the green seperator. Just an idea.
And you could really do some cool stuff if you gave this something like table tennis rules - 1 bounce on each side max. And you could play to 21. Ooh, I really like this.

This is a rather obscure track, but I've always found it to be one of the cooler maze tracks out there. It's neat because it at least makes some sort of an attempt to follow the book.
I don't know who [1-279] is/was (their name is "Shiloh Schulte"), or if they'll ever see this, but I very much like this track, in spite of a couple visual deficiencies.

Comment:
This sport is very neat because it involves teamwork while still at the same time it's a free for all. The pace can change very quickly as the game depends a good amount on luck. Great fun.
Adam: the hex editing was done by opening up a hex editor and opening the trk file. Then, Austin found the track image (using a graphical hex editor) and edited the correct values. Tedious but very cool in the end, especially for this map.

This is my favorite track. Races here are not so much races as contests to not screw up. Strategy revolves around not botching a lap.
