So you want a timeline, huh? Well, that really can't be done, especially on an open-source project. Hopefully (VERY hopefully) it will be done by fall 2005 [update, 02/2006 - let's hope for late 2006 - at the very least before Vista (yuck) comes out]. At the moment, though, a timeline of what has been done can be put up. - February 12, 2005: Development begins. Focus is on the HCUToolkit, the basis for the entire program.- February 19, 2005: The HCUToolkit is finished, or at least functional. - February 22, 2005: Work really gets started on the HoverCAD Unlimited Command Prompt Editor. - February 25, 2005: First functional track made using the Command Prompt Editor. - February 29, 2005: Final version of Command Prompt Editor is released; no more real work to be done. There are bugs, but nobody cares. - March 2, 2005: Work begins on the GUI for HoverCAD Unlimited. A window is successfully created. - March 7, 2005: MDIChilds are successfully incorporated into the GUI, making working with several files at once possible. - March 11, 2005: Class hcuReader is added to the HCUToolkit, allowing the opening of already existing .hcu files. - March 17, 2005: More work done, on DLLs and icons to be used in the toolbar. Little progress. - March 18, 2005: Much functionality added to GUI, including Help functions. - March 20, 2005: Igglybob forgets about HoverCAD Unlimited. - April 3, 2005: A subdomain for HCU is finally created and becomes barely functional. - April 27, 2005: Igglybob remembers about HoverCAD Unlimited. - April 28, 2005: The GUI can now open files and draw the rooms; however, it doesn't draw them right. - April 29, 2005: New webpage design. It's much better than the old one. It is done completely in gVim. - April 30, 2005: New webpage design completed.
