So i pretty much got a dream job now. well without the pay, its basiclly minimum wage.

but i am a game tester.
My college education in game design helped me land this job, although they don't pay me for my degrees.
Ah well its pretty cool none the less, hopefully i can move up or something and make some good moneys.

Sounds good Castro. Money is money at the end of the day, and hey, game testing sounds like more fun than asking a broker why my shipment isn't border ready Razz!

Heh, lucky Razz
I've tested games without getting paid...

Also, I heard testing is one of the best ways to move into the gaming industry. If you are good at it, that is Smile

Yeh i thought i was good at my job until i got in trouble for using the term "stupid" in my bug report. and i got in trouble for another thing that day.

Hopefully they still like me.
I think i might master this job then try to move to an area with a lot of game companies work in there QA and try to move up.

Heh, yes it seems like wording is very important in these things. I was in a closed beta test once, and when some players used terms like "should" to suggest changes, we had one pissed off lead developer:

Quote:
I am sure all players that followed us since years know how much I dislike when they say what we should do. I am surprise that so many are making the same mistake again. Do you think I am stupid or that we don't care of the players? If you say no, there is no reason to argue. You can tell as much as you want how much you would like a patch, I agree, but if you want to tell that we are making a wrong choice, then you better answer 'yes' to my question.
