Every few years I come to check to see what the world of Hover Race is up to these days. I signed up to this forum with my original nick that my 10 year old self loved back in the day, "Chipper." My original registration number was [1-711]. I was absolutely awful at this game, but I can honestly say it is the only game to have ever influenced my life. Simply through the IMR I was able to speak to people that were just getting into web design, programming, and some sorts of hacking (in the non-lame sense of the world).

I learned so much in that time period, and here I am, about 12 years later I believe, working as a web developer and code slinger. All because of this silly, silly game.

Seph, I remember you. I believe we used to talk fairly often if I recall correctly. That may have perhaps been under the alias of "showtime" or "sho" as I decided to use that on one of the time's that I came back.

The nickname I choose to use these days I feel to be most appropriate: Dustin Amodeo. I live in Houston, TX and am 23 years old. I look forward to chatting with you folks to put back together the ideas of what actually took place those years ago.

Even in 2001 it wasn't as busy as it was back when the game was modern, but I wouldn't know those times either since I came in in about 2001 too.

yea back in the days of good ole 1998 1999 were the great years

once sold to the finnish game company it went down hill.... imr was split up and often had tons of issues.... just wasnt as great when richard himself would hop on and play.
