Sure, the ice-caps are melting. On one side. They're building up and freezing more ice on the other. In some places, the icecaps are actually getting bigger, I recall reading somewhere.

actually i saw something about bush trying to hide anything on that kinda thing.. they've been moderating certain people who do write on that sort of thing and censor them or edit their writings to make it sound less of a threat. like changing little things like will to may. o.O bad deal.

gee strange timing though. www.msn.com has something on bush's take on the enviroment today.

lol, it's nothing to do with being right wing or trying to wind people up.... I simply stated the fact that the earth has been warming up since the ice age. If you check historical facts and data you will find that to be true.

The earths temperature runs in cycles.... for example, before the ice age the world was very hot, then it cooled down and now it's getting warm again....

Most scientists agree that the world is indeed getting warmer but many fail to look at things in the longterm picture..... the world was warming up long before humans were capable of producing large quantities of greenhouse gases....

I'm not saying that humans don't contribute to it, just that it was already happening before the humans could contribute to it.....

The bioshpere 2 project showed that even if humans had full control over the gases in the atmosphere and eco systems they would most likely not be able to stop nature from taking its course.

Eventually we will perish just like the dinosaurs did.... it could be by climate change or by a meteor or even a nuclear holocaust... either way the human race will eventually be wiped out one way or another so you might as well enjoy life while you can Smile

i'm not offended. i've been lectured over about it from my father. it's just not the top priority of my life right now, but i do buy plants and flowers for people because i do appreate places that are green. i have a miniture lil green house like area in my bay window except i've been neglecting all my babies for the last month. >.> ( http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/kittygal137/?action=view&current=photo.jpg thats it, but has a few more plants) i think in 2 monthes or maybe a lil longer i'm helping with a biotanical center sale. even though it has to do with art and i've been there a few times at least it still helps them get money for their cause. i'm just not a enviromentalist, astrolimener, verternarian techinition like my father is. don't really plan to follow that life style even though i admire it to some degree.
